• U.S. Rep Ilhan Omar is under probe by the DOJ for immigration fraud, marrying her brother to get him into the country and lying about her age on federal documents. She’s receiving support from progressive organizations. Advocates of the LGBTQ + community just added an S for Sibling.
• Democratic House Member Haley Stevens crossed over and endorsed GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers and accompanied Rogers to worship at his Methodist Church service on Sunday. Forget the World Series. The Republicans are calling in Jesus to pitch the bottom of the 9th against Mohammed.
• President Trump was raked over the coals by an AP article Monday that mocked how his little detour on Iran may cost Republicans control of Congress. Antiwar sentiment is combined with the radical politics of racial division. Any day I expect the DSA to denounce racism, white men and the Jews.
• The Ayatollah Khomeini warned the U.S. Friday that any action taken against Iran would be met with what he called geographically unlimited strikes. Yesterday my Uber driver was Persian and she was listening to the Country Music station. So I figure they must be preparing for U.S. ground troops. Election Day arrives today climaxing months of Democrats and Republicans
• battling it out for control of the U.S. Congress. Don’t take them too seriously. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from a lifetime of kidding these people it’s that idolizing a politician is like believing the stripper really likes you.
• The Wall Street Journal reports House candidates spent $2.02 billion on this election and Senate candidates spent $1.10 billion, deploying incessant target marketing. I can’t wait for this election season to be over. In fact, I’m considering voting for the first candidate who quits texting and calling me.
• President Trump gave an impassioned speech in Iowa on Sunday. He repeated the $5,000 each citizen will get if voters deliver a GOP Congress majority. Knowing Iowans, I think 60% of Iowans will vote GOP for the $5,000 while 40% of Iowans vote Democrat because he didn’t throw in steak knives.
• Alaska’s Democratic Senate candidate Mary Peltola was accused by former House staffers of using the N-word in 2024 in anger at the Anchorage head of the NAACP. I’m just relieved that the N-word isn’t being hung on Southerners for a change. Anchorage is about as far north as you can say it.
• Fox News projected that the balance of power in Congress will be known by midnight Eastern Time tonight. Alaska is usually the last state to report in its election results. • Iran was reported Monday rapidly rebuilding its nuclear and missile labs that were destroyed by last year’s B-2- bombing raid by Trump that buried the lab under a mountain. Deep down, the president has to be a little impressed. Apparently Iran’s nuclear program healed faster than Trump’s ear.
• The Pentagon held World War III exercises at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Tuesday It’s a tricky situation. My biggest fear is that if World War III breaks out, Generation Z may have to fight on the side of the Chinese, because they accepted Tik Tok’s terms and conditions without reading them.
• British Reform Party leader Nigel Farage warned the U.S. not to repeat Europe’s mistakes that opened its borders, which he blamed on French rioting. There is some good news. The protests in Paris totally petered out Sunday because the French people refuse to riot longer than 32 hours per week.
