• Queen Elizabeth started out at Balmoral castle Thursday, then traveled 100 miles to Edinburgh, through dozens of villages and towns, then flew to London, on to the Palace and Westminster Hall. Now that's a trouper. She's been dead for seven days and she's already toured more than Taylor Swift.
• The Hollywood Reporter reported Disney just cast brunette beauty Rachel Zegler as Snow White and she'll be the studio's first live-action movie princess. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out on screen. Disney movies, fairy tales and porn have one thing in common, unrealistic stepmother depictions.
• President Biden finished clearing out the U.S. Postal Service Board of Directors and filling it with his own appointees this past week. The service dates back to colonial times. The United States Post Office lost five billion dollars last year, making it by far the most profitable branch of the U.S. government.
• Hillary Clinton promoting her new show Gutsy on Apple + said Monday Americans should be very interested in what the FBI found at Mar-a-Lago. After a while I just give up and applaud her nerve. Say what you want about Hillary, but she's the only one ever to collect the $400,000 from the Nigerian Prince.
• Billboard reported that the current inflationary spiral is hitting the rap music world hard from two different directions. Rap concerts are more expensive to stage and fans are afraid to splurge and see the shows. To give you an idea of how bad it's gotten, Fifty Cent is Eighty Million Dollars in Zimbabwe.
• The Florida Times reports that NASA pushed back the launch of the stalled Artemis One rocket to September 27th. They never have any fun at this agency. If I were in charge of NASA, I'd make it mandatory for the entire ground crew to be dressed like apes for when the spacecraft returns to earth.
• Kamala Harris was interviewed on Meet the Press Sunday where she questioned the legitimacy of the U.S. Supreme Court. Kamala makes me nervous when I watch her on TV. Laughter is the best medicine, unless you periodically break out laughing for no reason, and then you need actual medicine.
• The Daily Mail reports that two Russian legislators have been summoned to the police station for publicly calling for the Duma to remove Putin from power for high treason. It's not like he can be voted out of office. An optimist in Russia is anybody who stays up late to see how the election came out.
• Queen Elizabeth's funeral on Monday will draw world leaders to St. Paul's Cathedral in London before she is vaulted in Westminster Abbey. What a legacy. Her Majesty is lovingly survived by her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her childhood baby sitter, Keith Richards.
