• Kamala Harris rode the wave of an adoring media over the weekend and tied Donald Trump in some of the polls. Kamala was lauded for being the first presidential candidate in history who once worked at a McDonald's. But she only got the job because she had a personal relationship with Ronald.
• The Paris 2024 Olympics staged a spectacular closing ceremony Sunday in farewell to the world's greatest athletes, and some sports were a forum for social issues. Everybody had an opinion on the controversy in Women's Olympic Boxing. But in the end, I think we can all agree that the best man won.
• The Paris 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony featured a parade of the participating athletes from the nations competing in the Olympics. The good sportsmanship was touching to see. The woman who lost to a biological male in Women's Boxing Finals says she's okay, she just fell down some stairs.
• India's Olympic female wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from her gold medal match for being just barely overweight in the 50 kg weight class Friday. They said she was too heavy for the equivalent of a medium size banana. Hey, more female athletes should be disqualified for this reason, too.
• The Weather Channel reported that government scientists claimed that last week was the hottest week on record in the United States. Triple digit temperature records were set in California, Nevada and Arizona. It was so hot in Arizona last week that people were listening to AC/DC just for the AC part.
• Donald Trump on Thursday told reporters he's agreed with NBC, ABC and Fox News to three debates. Kamala has agreed to one debate. Trump is reported very worried if he beats Kamala in the debate like he beat Biden the Democrats might replace her with somebody more qualified like Andy Dick.
• Politico reported Saturday that Kamala succeeded in uniting Democrats but noted that her staff is not getting along with Biden holdovers. Kamala's VP selection should keep the comedians busy. Tim Walz will join Kamala Harris in Detroit today unless it's too dangerous and then he will stay behind.
• Tim Walz was ripped by veterans for claiming he carried weapons of war into war when in fact he backed out of going to Iraq with his unit in 2005. He backtracked a little on Friday. Walz admitted he's never been to Iraq, but he is going to Chicago next weekend and that's pretty much the same thing.
• Democratic VP candidate Tim Walz was cited by critics Friday for all the authoritarian pandemic measures he imposed while Minnesota governor. A state trooper once pulled Governor Walz over for drunk driving and speeding. Being a good Democrat who honors the law, Tim let him off with a warning.
• Politico assessed white men are Trump voters, white women and black women are Kamala voters, as Indo-Americans fume over Kamala downplaying her Indian heritage. It's all about racial identity politics. I believe you should never judge anybody by the color of their skin, that's what the media is for.
