• Kamala Harris claimed the Democratic nomination Friday after an unattended online count of delegates two weeks before the convention. I accept that some things are none of my business. You never ask a woman her age, or a man his salary or a Democrat how they select their presidential candidates.

• The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have been a smash hit for NBC with 35 million viewers riveted to U.S. women's gymnastics and swimming in the early days of the Games. The action is non-stop. In the sport of Olympic Sailing, Australia took the gold, England took the silver and Somalia took the boat.

• The London Daily Mail published a story on Kamala Harris's husband, the Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, and details about his first marriage. It revealed that during his first marriage he had an affair with the household help and knocked her up. It resulted in an endorsement from Schwarzenegger.

• American gymnast Simone Biles cemented her places as the greatest American female gymnast in history by cleaning up in gold medals last week. She wasn't the only American star. On the pistol marksmanship competition Alec Baldwin won the gold medal, but then shot three judges and a spectator.

• The U.S. Olympic Team went into the weekend battling China for the lead in number of Olympic medals won after stellar American performances in Women's Swimming and Women's Gymnastics. However there's one thing we all know by now. It's really took balls to win the gold in Women's Boxing.

• NBC Sports reports that the Paris 2024 Olympic Committee dropped baseball, softball and karate from the Games but kept surfing and skateboarding. And Paris 2024 ruled that biological males can compete in Olympic Women's Boxing. The sport will now be known as The Real Housewives of the NFL.

• The New York Post noted that the biological men pummeling women boxers in the Olympic ring drew only condemnation in the West. What's appalling to me is how other cultures see nothing wrong with it. It recalls the husband in India who punches his Hindu wife every night at six o' clock, on the dot.

• Secret Service chief Ronald Rowe said they didn't see the shooter on top of the AGR building at the Trump rally but vowed to do better. A woman was arrested in Washington, D.C., Sunday carrying a gun and threatening to kill Trump. It prompted ABC News colleagues to tell Rachel Scott to calm down.

• Donald Trump held a huge outdoor rally in Georgia Saturday and blasted Kamala and Georgia Republicans alike. He stood outside and spoke for ninety minutes in the one hundred degree heat. By the time it was over Donald Trump was the second presidential candidate to turn black in two weeks.

• The New York Times reports Kamala Harris is down to choosing between Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. However, Liz Cheney gets a lot of support as well. Liz Cheney constantly wears the look of someone who hates Trump but hasn't told anybody in 5 minutes.

• Kamala Harris reported raising $300 million for her presidential campaign in July, doubling the donations raised in July by Donald Trump. It's not just a contest over online contributions. Kamala Harris has a big fundraising advantage at her campaign rallies because she can charge people to get out.

• Donald Trump backed out of a debate with Kamala on ABC saying he's in a lawsuit with George Stephanopoulos. However Donald Trump gladly offered to do a debate on Fox News. In a related story, Alex Rodriguez offered to return to the New York Yankees if opposing pitchers agree lob the ball underhanded.

• The Defense Department rescinded its deal with Khalid Sheik Mohammed after a public outcry and he will face execution. He planned 9-11. They'd initially agreed not to execute the Sheik after he proved he was jailed at Guantanamo January 6th, 2021, and not part of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
