The National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration reported that arrests for drunk driving are way down the last two years. These roadside sobriety tests are getting ridiculous. Last night the Beverly Hills police set up a sobriety checkpoint on Sunset and they made me fold a fitted sheet.

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg launched a rival to Twitter called Threads with a hundred million downloads already. His employees in Menlo Park aren’t that plugged into the real world. Yesterday I got a warning on my FB page not to accept any friend requests from Hormel Foods, it might be Spam.

President Biden attended the NATO Summit held in Lithuania Wednesday where he managed to get Sweden voted into NATO in exchange for Turkey entering the EU. MSNBC pundits actually compared Joe Biden to Franklin D. Roosevelt. Well, come to think of it, neither one could walk up stairs.

President Biden nixed admitting Ukraine into NATO on Monday. Russian troops now occupy the Russian sectors Stalin and Khruschev gave Ukraine in the 1950s. In an interview Friday, Biden gave a hint that Ukraine-Russia peace talks may be at hand when he admitted that the U.S. is out of ammunition.

The New York Times reports Vladimir Putin hosted a secret Kremlin meeting with the renegade militia leader Yevgeny Prigozhin five days after he canceled his coup threat. They are old friends. It appears that Putin just can’t get enough Prigozhin, even though it causes sleepless nights and diarrhea.

President Biden was the subject of an article about how often he loses his temper and swears in the Oval Office, but the article added profanity may be forgivable when the country is at its most divided since the Civil War. President Lincoln’s wife was called a crazy bitch. Biden says he stands by the tweet.

Congressman George Santos, who’s under federal probe for making up his resume to run for Congress including fabricating his college education and past career work, caused a firestorm by comparing himself to Rosa Parks. There is no comparison whatsoever. George Santos is under the bus.

Leslie Van Houten was paroled fifty-four years after the Manson family murder spree in L.A. The family was a cult of hippies who took LSD, which allowed them to obey murder commands from the hypnotic, neo-Nazi Charles Manson. If only to out-crazy Manson, last month California legalized LSD.
