Valentine's Day comes just before Presidents Day which honors politicians, so we pretty much cover love and hate in a 5-day period.

• Patrick Mahomes won the Super Bowl for the third time in six years for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. He faces a future of untold riches. It was the first time a Super Bowl MVP could have recorded the traditional theme park plug after the game by declaring that I'm going to buy Disney World!

• Donald Trump rattled the State Department by ad-libbing he would invite Putin to do whatever he wants in Europe if they don't pay their NATO dues. It does work. One day 10 years ago Spectrum cut off my cable and Internet, and the next hour they had my debit card number and my full cooperation.

• Donald Trump spent Monday in a closed hearing in Florida regarding his classified documents charges. To get them dropped, Trump should produce all the clippings from the New York Times and Washington Post calling him mentally unfit for office. He said it's the first good idea Joe Biden ever had.

• Donald Trump accused Taylor Swift of being disloyal after he passed his 2018 act upgrading streaming-device music royalties that made her so much money. Trust me, Hollywood people won't ever admit they're as conservative as they really are. As Joe Biden would say, denial is a river in Tijuana.

• The Weather Channel reports the Pineapple Express that drenched L.A. is crossing the country now, continuing the planet's frenetic geothermal mischief this winter Oklahoma has clearly had enough. Last Tuesday they sent their tornadoes to Wisconsin and returned the earthquakes to California.
