Time to cure fringe party sickness

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | This is the year all sane conservatives should cure themselves of the sick infatuation with pathetic fringe parties. Whether you're considering the Libertarians, the Constitution Party, or the Reform Party that nominated Pat Buchanan last time, all you're doing is helping the hard left seize control of the country.

If the candidate of the Constitution Party, say, somehow triples the votes their nominee got last time — going all the way from one-tenth of one percent to three tenths of one-percent — that makes no difference in history. But a comparable 200,000 vote shift could decide the outcome between Bush and Kerry.

Fringe Party wackos love the slogan: "If you choose the lesser of two evils, it's still evil."

Does any rational observer really believe President Bush is evil? He's certainly imperfect, but in this fallen world choosing between imperfect candidates doesn't mean you're choosing evil — it just means you're mature enough to understand the workings of our Republic.
