Two assassination attempts along with the possibility of more emanating from the Iran regime and still Biden and his administration continue their fiery rhetoric against President Trump. On Wednesday morning, the very day that it was announced that Donald Trump was briefed by Biden administration officials of "real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him," Biden went on "The View" and his Secretary of Commerce went on "Morning Joe" to fan the flames of hate. The objective clearly was to demonize Donald Trump once again.
President Joe Biden said Wednesday on ABC's "The View" that former President Donald Trump "really does not believe in democracy. I think he is the most unusual president. Look, when I ran, I said I was running, one of the first major speeches I made at Independence Hall about democracy. That democracy was at stake."
He went on to say, "Trump is, there is not a lot social redeeming values there. Here's the thing, he really does not believe in democracy, and the guardrails that our system has set up for the abuse of power. Look at what he does and what he says and look what he did. January 6th was absolutely bizarre, bizarre.
In the past Biden has said, "It's time to put Trump in a bulls-eye." And Biden has said time and time again that "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. There is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country."
And on that same morning, Biden Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that former President Donald Trump should be extinguished from politics. That's right, she used the word "extinguished." Raimondo said, "Tax policy, you have to work with Congress but if he decides he wants to do something crazy, like a 200% tariff, which will hurt Americans, raise prices and lose jobs, he could do it as president. Which is why honestly why I'm here in my personal capacity. The stakes are so high in this one. We cannot afford to put him back in the White House."
And then she added, "He's the one that overturned Roe. For me, you know, when I was the governor of Rhode Island, one of the first governors in the country back in 2019 to codify Roe in state statute in Rhode Island. I worked with the legislature, it was because he was president, and I feared exactly what would happen. I said women of Rhode Island would be protected. That's real protection, stepping up and leading. And what he says is the opposite. It is just another lie. How did we get here? Let's extinguish him for good."
Let's not forget what Kamala Harris has said. She falsely accused President Trump of calling Nazis "fine people," promising a "bloodbath," and being responsible for "the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War." No longer is there any attempt to parse her words. She has been repeating out and out lies about Trump, statements that have been proven to be totally false, with complete abandon.
The vitriol against President Trump is off the charts. For more than 8 years Biden and his surrogates have been saying that Donald Trump is worse than Hitler and Mussolini. They constantly exaggerate the J6 Capitol riot and use it to frame Trump as a "threat to democracy." Joe Biden has labeled Trump and "MAGA Republicans" as "semi-fascists" and domestic terrorists. Tim Walz called Trump a "fascist" and "threat to Democracy" who will "put people's lives in danger."
And last week Democratic Senator Chris Murphy described Trump as "a candidate explicitly running on the promise of political violence." Considering the constant drumbeat of Trump being worse than Hitler and a threat to all Americans, is it any wonder why there would be assassination attempts on him? Killing Hitler should make you the hero of the world, right?
The damage done by the hate-filled rhetoric spewed by Democrats and their partners in the media will be felt for decades.
