These are haters, anarchists, and idiots who enjoy tearing down tradition, especially Western Civilization, and don't care who they hurt with their vitriol.
Most thinking people are saddened by the queen's passing, realizing that we have lost a truly unique woman who put her country, her countrymen, and her duties first, and kept her politics and opinions to herself.
By all accounts she was a religious woman, a kind woman and a gracious, accommodating woman. She ruled England longer than any other monarch and she did it with grace, dignity, elegance, and intelligence. She was indeed, in every respect, a queen. She was well-loved by her subjects and revered by world leaders.
So much has been written about her this week, accolades pouring in from every corner of the globe, that there is nothing more I could possibly add that hasn't already been said.
It is indeed the end of a majestic era. The tributes and the pomp will continue through next week until her majesty is finally laid to rest in King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle. Rest in Peace Your Majesty.
As we slowly wind our way out of a blistering summer, we enter autumn and what will undoubtedly be a blistering hot political season. Though we are only midway through September, already ballots are being mailed out for the mid-term election.
On Friday September 9th, North Carolina started sending out general-election ballots to the 50,000 people who had requested them. Early voting in the other states will happen soon, you can be sure.
In 2020 we were told that because of Covid we needed to expand the voting window from a single day to months before the election. We were also advised that we needed to open up more outlets for ballots to be deposited and picked up from.
Ballot distribution and counting became confusing and ripe for fraud and tampering. Many Trump voters blame the results of the 2020 presidential election on these extreme changes to our voting rules and regulations, which effectively threw out Election Day in favor of Election Months.
Not only were people collecting ballots months ahead but votes were being counted months after the traditional Election Day.
Since then nothing has been done to return to our normal way of voting. Unless something drastic is done, (and it doesn't appear that will happen) voting and ballot harvesting for the 2022 mid-terms will produce nothing short of a repeat of the 2020 presidential election results.
When I read or hear pundits talk of a Republican landslide this fall, I sigh and shake my head. I just don't see it.
With all the progressive voting changes which favored Democrats in 2020 still in place, how can you expect the results to be any different this time? That famous saying has never been truer; "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."
I worry about my country. When I hear Biden and his ilk, including the mainstream media, demonizing half of the voters in the country and ginning up hatred in the other half, it scares me. The raid on President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, the ongoing Jan.6th inquisition and show trial by the Democrat-controlled Congress, and the never-ending drumbeat of the fake news media leads me to believe that all this will culminate with an indictment of the former president.
That's what they're aiming for, anyhow.
The socialists (or Marxists or Communists, or whatever you want to call them) are deeply ensconced at the highest levels of government. They call the shots and make the rules. The bureaucracy does more than wag the dog, it is the dog.
President Trump exposed much of this, although I don't think even he had any notion of just how corrupt and expansive the swamp is. This is why they're out to get him. He is a threat to their very existence. All of this could end up in the Supreme Court eventually. He'll need some tremendously brilliant lawyers on his side.
The Constitution is on his side. Half of the country is on his side. But nothing is ever a sure thing.
To use one of President Trump's favorite expressions, we'll have to see what happens.
