Things are happening at breakneck speed regarding the Middle East. President Trump has made the important and correct decision to bomb Iran's nuclear sites this past weekend. An act that will change the dynamic in the region and in the world for a long time to come.

At this early stage we don't know how extensive the damage is to Iran's nuclear facilities, if they are totally obliterated, as the president says, or if there still remains some parts of their program which they might attempt to rebuild.

In any case President Trump wants this strike to be the end of it. He is still talking about conducting peace talks with the Islamic regime, believe it or not. I can understand Trump's desire not to engage in a full out war as was done with Iraq and Afghanistan, which attempted "regime change" and lasted years. Both of those failed engagements left Americans with a bad taste in their mouths for any further Middle East entanglements. President Trump wants no part of anything like that with Iran.

But the fact that he says he is willing to negotiate with these Islamo-Nazi terrorists dumbfounds me. He has to realize that we are talking about a country that is being controlled by pure evil. Even if they possess no nuclear bombs and no long range missiles they still pose a major threat to not only Israel, but to the United States as well.

Leaving them in power ensures that Islamic jihad will continue in one form or another. These are religious zealots who want to wipe out the state of Israel and kill all Jews.

Iran will use whatever they can to kill Jews and Americans and really any and all people they deem to be "infidels." If they don't have nukes, they will use rockets, if they don't have rockets, they will use suicide bombers, IUDs, or you name it. Anything they can get their hands on to kill us. Remember September 11th, 2001. All the terrorists had to do was hijack a few of our airplanes. No nukes needed.

Leaving the evil Iranian regime in place would be like leaving the Nazi regime in charge of Germany in World War II after taking away all their aircraft and tanks. That would have been stupid.

Of course we didn't do that, we knew we had to totally dismantle the Nazis, take them out of power completely. Like a cancer, they needed to be removed totally otherwise the disease is still there. We must demand unconditional surrender from Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his terrorist followers. Only then can a new government be installed.

But we live in very different times today than we did in the nineteen forties. And we simply don't seem to have the ability to execute any kind of regime change anymore, at least not in the Middle East. So Trump is correct in keeping our ground troops out of Iran and not attempting any sort of government coup. Israel knows it can't do that either. But the terrorists simply cannot be allowed to go on controlling Iran if we ever want to have peace in that region.

The overthrow of the government, therefore, is necessary. But it has to happen internally. The Iranian people themselves must do it.

In the meantime, the US and Israel needs to put a stop to Iran's ability to cause death and destruction. We need to blow up their oil fields next. Destroy all elements of their army and navy and whatever else we can take out to be certain that Iran is neutered from doing any serious aggression. At that point, perhaps (with a little stealth help from the west) the people will rise up to take back their country.

The Iranian people themselves need to deal with this evil regime themselves, not the United States and not Israel. A regime change needs to come from within and there is a very good chance it will once the Ayatollah fanatics have been defanged.

As I write this President Trump has announced there will be a ceasefire between Israel and Iran within a few hours. In his text he says, "It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED."

Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World. During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL," the president wrote.

Trump is treating Israel and Iran as equals here and I don't know if he really believes that or he is simply being diplomatic. How does he not know that Iran will never rest until Israel and all Jewish people are eliminated? I can't believe that he is that naïve. If this happens before Israel finishes off Iran, we will soon be back in the same place we were before the bombings.
