This is all about the so-called "deadly insurrection" at the Capitol by supporters of President Trump on January 6th, 2021 and the "Select Committee" who were assembled to "investigate" it. Two big lies, by the way. There never was a "deadly insurrection," and the "Select Committee" was not doing any serious investigating into the incident. It was set up as a phony patrician show trial. But let's get back to the mysterious Mr. Epps.
There are several video tapes which show Ray Epps repeatedly encouraging crowds of people in Washington, D.C. on January 5 and January 6, 2021, to go to the United States Capitol and breach the building. You can't miss him. Dressed in a red MAGA hat and camouflage outfit he's a big man, much taller than most around him, and he was the only one caught on camera urging others to actually go IN to the Capitol. But he has never been arrested or charged with any crime, never spent one night in jail, while more than 800 others have. And remain so to this day. The question is, why not Epps?
The FBI knew about him, they posted a video and photo of him on their hit list, but later these were quietly removed. Very strange. The fact that he was never arrested by the FBI even though he was by far the most conspicuous agitator in the crowd leads many to think that perhaps Epps, and possibly others, were either federal agents themselves or hired by the agency.
This week Tucker Carlson ran footage on his show that showed Epps in the crowd outside the Capitol complex about 30 minutes AFTER the time heÊtold investigatorsÊwith the Select Committee on Jan. 6 that he left the premises. "Epps told the committee that he never entered the Capitol, and therefore never committed a crime," Carlton said. "Text messages show that at 2:12 p.m. he boasted to his nephew that he had "orchestrated the protests at the Capitol."
Epps told members of the House panel that when he sent the text messages to his nephew he had already left the Capitol for his hotel room. "That is not true," Carlson said. "The surveillance footage we found shows that in fact, Ray Epps remained at the Capitol for at least another half an hour."
"What was Epps doing there? We can't say, but we do know he lied to investigators. The January 6th Committee likely knew this too. Democrats had access to the same tape, yet they defended Ray Epps," Carlson said.
The raw footage Carlson showed absolutely contradicts the testimony Epps gave to federal prosecutors. No question. And yet the FBI hasÊrefused to answerÊquestions about his alleged connection with federal law enforcement. And the Democrats' Select Committee has sought toÊclear his name.
We may never know the truth about Epps and his relationship to the FBI. If in fact he was hired by the bureau and it became public, that would completely destroy the entire Jan. 6 committee hearings' credibility. It would also open a can of worms relating to the deep corruption of the administrative state and the Democrat Party, not to mention the media which has been complicit in the deceitful messaging to the American public. They must cover up and continue to lie in order to protect themselves.
Epps is but one single element to the big lie story of what happened on January 6th, 2021. Yes, there was rioting at the Capitol that day, it cannot be denied. But it wasn't an armed insurrection as the media would like you to believe. And no one was killed that day except for Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed woman who was shot dead by a Capitol police officer.
The Democrats only want you to believe their narrative of the event of that day and they certainly do not want the entire surveillance footage shown on national television. Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer has demanded that Fox News stop showing the tapes. Yes, he's blatantly calling for the censorship of public information. These people are truly despicable.
But the truth has a nasty habit of oozing out, and as more and more of it surfaces and people can actually see what really transpired that day, the liars in government and the media will be exposed.
