If you need any proof that the American public operates on a shallow, "feel good" mentality (as opposed to intelligent, logical reasoning), all you need to do is consider the enormous popularity of social media sites such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and so many others.

Spending time engaging in critical thinking doesn't necessarily make one "feel good," but disengaging from the real world and getting "likes" from strangers on these social media platforms will do just that. As self-destructive as that may be.

But if you require any additional proof of the shallowness and self-destructive nature of the American public, simply consider the reasoning behind millions of voters who hate former President Trump and will not ever vote for him. It's not because of his policies, it's because they don't like him personally; his words and demeanor are sometimes nasty and mean and it hurts their feelings.

Yes, there are some ultra-liberal Democrats who will never support Donald Trump because of his policies. The far Left are invested on tearing down our traditions, culture, true history, and literally our nation's borders. They will never vote in favor of patriotism and the American way of life, or anything that will make America stronger and better. Individualism, true freedom of speech, and real equal opportunity (not equality of outcome, which is impossible) are not what they're after.

Those diehard anti-Americans will not in and of themselves affect the presidential election. There are not enough of them (yet) to do so. The voters who will make the difference are the politically disengaged millions who do not follow day to day operations of their government and only get their information from their local newscasts, social media, and people they speak to socially.

Many of these are hard working Americans who are busy with bringing up a family and making a living and, understandably, just don't have the time to pay attention to what is going on politically. They are "low information voters," as one famous commentator once called them. They tend to judge someone by how that person makes them "feel" and not on their policies, per say.

So they will vote against a candidate who makes fun of his opponents, who sometimes uses coarse language, and will not always go along with political correctness and traditional decorum in the public arena. And here is the crazy part. They will vote against this man EVEN THOUGH HIS POLICIES ARE GOOD FOR AMERICA AND AMERICANS.

All one needs to do in order to get a pretty good idea of how former President Trump will lead this country after his election is look back at his policy record for the four years of his first administration. Objectively, unemotionally consider what he did for America. Not what he tweeted, not what he said, but what he did.

A selection of accomplishments from Whitehouse.gov in 2021: Before the China Virus invaded our shores, we built the world's most prosperous economy.

America gained 7 million new jobs – more than three times government experts' projections.

Middle-Class family income increased nearly $6,000 – more than five times the gains during the entire previous administration.

The unemployment rate reached 3.5 percent, the lowest in a half-century.

Achieved 40 months in a row with more job openings than job-hirings.

More Americans reported being employed than ever before – nearly 160 million.

Jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low.

The number of people claiming unemployment insurance as a share of the population hit its lowest on record.

Incomes rose in every single metro area in the United States for the first time in nearly 3 decades. Delivered a future of greater promise and opportunity for citizens of all backgrounds.

Unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma all reached record lows.

Unemployment for women hit its lowest rate in nearly 70 years.

Lifted nearly 7 million people off of food stamps.

Poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached record lows.

Income inequality fell for two straight years, and by the largest amount in over a decade.

The bottom 50 percent of American households saw a 40 percent increase in net worth.

Wages rose fastest for low-income and blue collar workers – a 16 percent pay increase.

African American homeownership increased from 41.7 percent to 46.4 percent.

Brought jobs, factories, and industries back to the USA. Hit record stock market numbers and record 401ks.

Rebuilding and investing in rural America.

Passed $3.2 trillion in historic tax relief and reformed the tax code.

Ended the regulatory assault on American Businesses and Workers.

Secured historic trade deals to defend American workers.

Unleashed America's oil and natural gas potential.

Increased access to our country's abundant natural resources in order to achieve energy independence.

Appointed a historic number of Federal judges who will interpret the Constitution as written.

Secured the Southern Border of the United States.

Fully enforced the immigration laws of the United States.

Advanced peace through strength.

Renewed our cherished friendship and alliance with Israel and took historic action to promote peace in the Middle East.

Defeated terrorists, held leaders accountable for malign actions, and bolstered peace around the world.

Those are just some of the highlights of President Trump's policies. But for many voters none of that seems to matter. "He makes fun of people!" "He sends mean tweets!" "He calls people names!" Really? That's why you would rather have the incompetent puppet in chief who is being manipulated by the Marxists behind the scenes?

Better to allow America to be destroyed than to have a man in office who sends "mean tweets." Flash! It isn't the rhetoric that counts.

It's the policies, stupid.
