Not even a month since President Trump took office and America has already undergone major common sense changes in our culture, in our world prestige, and in our government. And it's happening at lighting speed.

Everyday something really exciting unfolds. The border is getting built again, dangerous illegal aliens are being rounded up and sent back to their home countries or to Gitmo, and finally, girls' sports will be for girls only again. No more boys in girls' bathrooms.

A few other little things are falling into place too. The bad guys in government are being exposed. Such as a spotlight being turned on at FEMA for all to see the corruption and mishandling of money which was supposed to go to help American citizens who have been hit by disaster and has gone elsewhere.

"Under President Trump and Secretary Kristi Noem's leadership, DHS will not sit idly and allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people," DHS's Tricia McLaughlin said. And to prove it they are terminating four employees who circumvented leadership to make payments for migrant housing in a New York hotel.

"Effective immediately, FEMA is terminating the employment of four individuals for circumventing leadership to unilaterally make egregious payments for luxury NYC hotels for migrants," McLaughlin said in a statement, noting that the firings include FEMA's Chief Financial Officer, two program analysts, as well as a grant specialist.

The news comes one day after Elon Musk, heading up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), announced that they uncovered the $59 million payment — made last week — sent by FEMA to house migrants in luxury hotels in the Big Apple.

Musk wrote the following: "The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President's executive order. That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals!"

A little recent history should be noted. Back in 2022, the Biden administration authorized the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program to respond to the migrant crisis.

While former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre continued to deny that the Biden administration was using FEMA funding to support undocumented migrants, she was caught contradicting herself throughout her tenure.

Then the whole thing came to a breaking point last year after former DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas told the country that FEMA was running out of money to help Americans in need — such as those recovering from Hurricane Helene — this despite the government spending millions on illegal migrants.

"We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds — FEMA does not have the funds — to make it through the season," Mayorkas said at the time. Get that? No money for American citizens because it will be going to illegals.

Now, thanks to President Trump and his team, all this misappropriation of relief funds will be ending.

Think that's all? It gets better! President Trump is doing away with Biden's idiotic "Green New Deal" regulations on people's household appliances. The president made the announcement in a social media post saying he was instructing Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Secretary Lee Zeldin to oversee the matter.

The president wrote: "I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe. I look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!!!"

As you remember, the Biden administration imposed climate standards for some appliances, including gas stoves, washing machines, and dishwashers during his term as president, to placate the far Left environmentalist lobby. Many experts and manufacturers said those standards could result in higher-priced alternatives that do not work as well. Yes, we who possessed common sense knew that.

And there has been so much more, including coming up with an "out of the box" idea for peace in the Middle East. But that's another column for another time.

Things haven't looked this good for years. Most Americans with common sense feel relieved and happy with their country once again. It's about time.
