Joshua Jahn, 29, was just the latest perpetrator in today's explosion in Democrat-Left political violence.

Jahn's assault on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas was like a fake-Gucci-bag knockoff of previous Leftist attacks. Jahn was a rooftop sniper, just like Charlie Kirk's suspected assassin, Tyler Robinson, and Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot President Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. Like Robinson and Minneapolis transgender church assailant Robert/Robin Westman — who wrote "Hey fascist, catch!" and "Kill Donald Trump" on their respective ammunition — Jahn scrawled "anti-ICE" on his bullet.

While Jahn apparently targeted ICE agents, he haplessly struck three illegal aliens, killing one. Jahn then fatally opened fire on himself.

ICE and Homeland Security personnel lately have endured relentless Leftist political mayhem.

At ICE's Broadview Processing Center in Chicago on September 19, according to DHS, "rioters and sanctuary politicians obstructed law enforcement, threw tear gas cans, rocks, bottles, and fireworks, slashed tires of cars, blocked the entrance of the building, and trespassed on private property."

On July 4, DHS reports, 10 well-armed thugs donned black tactical gear and fired on ICE's Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. In this "planned ambush," one police officer survived a gunshot to the neck. An apparent second gunman shot 20 to 30 rounds at authorities. Officials later discovered nearby an AR-style rifle, a flag bearing the words "resist fascism, fight oligarchy," and flyers that read "Fight ICE terror with class war."

In southern California last June, Leftists hurled rocks at DHS vehicles as they attempted to arrest illegal-alien criminals. They clashed on the streets with federal agents and torched three Waymo self-driving vehicles.

Nationwide, DHS reports "a more than 1,000% increase in assaults" against ICE personnel. Criminals have doxed ICE agents and weaponized motor vehicles against them.

Why all the bad vibrations? The Left's violence-prone individuals take their cues from leading Democrats who deploy aggressive, extremist rhetoric against ICE. Remember, ICE's public servants are performing their function in this constitutional republic. They enforce federal laws enacted by Congress and signed by the president — as the U.S. Treasury pays them to do.

Nonetheless, Democrats place bullseyes on ICE agents by constantly calling them "secret police," "fascists," and "Nazis." Governor Tim Walz (D – Minnesota) denounced "Donald Trump's modern-day Gestapo." Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D - Texas) said, "when I see ICE, I see slave patrols."

Strangely, the Democrat-Left avoided such ballistic language when, per the Migration Policy Institute, President Clinton booted 12,290,905 illegal aliens, nor when President Obama deported 5,281,115 illegals.

Indeed, the Left launched not even one Molotov cocktail when Obama gave the 2015 Presidential Rank Award — America's highest civil-service honor — to none other than Tom Homan. ICE's highly flattering press release listed the "extensive accomplishments" of today's Border Czar. Under Homan's leadership, the communiqué gushed back then, ICE "has removed more than 920,000 aliens from the United States."

The Left also must loathe ICE and DHS' major recent wins:

Illegal-alien border encounters: Down 93%

Daily apprehensions: Down 96%

Illegal aliens released into America across the last four months: Zero

Illegal aliens deported or self-deported under Trump: 2 million

Alligator Alcatraz, Cornhusker Clink, and Speedway Slammer deportee venues active

If ICE were the Keystone Kops, the Left would yawn. However, as an agency that is implementing President Trump's Make America Safe Again agenda — big league! — the Left wants to melt ICE, by any means necessary.

Regarding political violence, Vice President JD Vance got it exactly right on Wednesday.

"We've got to stop it. We've got to condemn it. And that starts, unfortunately, at the very top of the Democratic Party," Vance said in North Carolina. "If you want to stop political violence, stop attacking our law enforcement as the Gestapo," he continued. "If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everybody who disagrees with you is a Nazi. If you want to stop political violence, look in the mirror."
