Taylor Swift was not in attendance at MTV's Vocal Music Awards ceremony held Sunday in New York City but she did not go unrecognized. I had heard that Swift received only one nomination the entire evening. I'm guessing it was for the Yoko Ono Award for breaking up the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Pentagon released a video Tuesday of the Coast Guard destroying a second Venezuelan speedboat in a week in the Caribbean. A boat carrying 13,000 pounds of cocaine went up in spectacular flames following a direct hit by a missile. The new name of the boat is Coke Zero.

The DOJ charged the Charlotte nut case who murdered a Ukrainian refugee girl on a transit train. CNN pundits claimed conservatives are trying to exploit the blonde stabbing murder. When I was a teen we used to pretend to be O.J. Simpson while playing football, now you have to stab a white girl.

New York City will pause today for the annual World Trade Center observance in memory of the attack on the Twin Towers. During the commemoration last year, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch declared at the ceremony that she will never forget 9-11. I should hope not, it's her phone number.

Senator Bernie Sanders campaigned all over New York City Monday making speeches for the Socialist mayor candidate Zohran Mandami's mayoral race. The day happened to be Bernie's 84th birthday. The Democrats all sang Happy Birthday to Bernie then they decided to give the cake to Hillary.

New York Mayor candidate Zohran Mandami proposed five city government-owned grocery stores to provide affordable or even free food. My first year after college, I received free food in L.A. All I had to do was tell my jokes on Open Mike nights, and in 3 minutes it was raining fruits and vegetables.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker aired a video of himself walking along Chicago's Gold Coast and insisting that the town is safe and needs no National Guard to patrol the streets. A friend who has worked in Chicago his entire life tells me the city is not that violent. He's the tail gunner on a school bus.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass raised eyebrows Tuesday when she complained to reporters that ICE raids in L.A. are making it impossible to get your car washed. And forget about construction work. I need the back of my house demolished so I've invited a couple of Hamas leaders over for dinner.

Fox News reported that Generation Z is making bar customers cringe by adding ice to their beer. People describe them as hyper-connected and socially aware in ways previous generations never experienced. However I assure Generation Z that it's okay to talk to people without starting a podcast.
