• The Getty Museum in L.A. was rated by CNN the safest place to display priceless art despite the fires and earthquakes. Private collectors are prey to forgers. Last week, an art collector in L.A. paid millions for a Picasso painting, only to find out later it was a map of the Illinois congressional districts.
• American Eagle Jeans issued an apology from their in-house marketing team regarding the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad. It sounded sincere. They said they didn't realize how big Sydney's boobs are, and promised to forget all about focusing on her blonde hair and blue eyes in their next commercial.
• The New York Post reports Jeffrey Epstein's assistant Ghislaine Maxwell was transferred to a Texas minimum security prison after her deposition last week. Her former cellmate told the Post Ghislaine is not suicidal at all. Well, I never attempted suicide but I ate a burrito from a gas station once.
• President Trump vowed Monday that the billions of dollars the U.S. is collecting on tariffs will help offset the huge federal budget deficit. Just this week, the U.S. Postal Service reported losing $2.1 billion last quarter. Putting Stephen Colbert on the postage stamp was the worst mistake they ever made.
• Jimmy Kimmel revealed plans in a podcast Monday to move to Rome because he complained that Donald Trump is becoming a dictator. Jimmy said he sought to be granted Italian citizenship to escape Trump's authoritarianism. And if any city has no history of wielding authoritarianism it's Rome.
• President Trump said he'll meet with Putin in Alaska Friday and he'll know in two minutes if a cease fire and peace deal is within reach. The biggest U.S. defense contractor is Lockheed Martin. If Nancy Pelosi sells her Lockheed Martin stock Thursday we'll know that peace will be reached Friday.
• President Trump federalized the Washington D.C. police force and deployed National Guard troops to prevent the carjacking epidemic on the streets of the capital. I only know this much about the crime. Carjacking is popular in L.A. because it's impossible to get a friend to give you a ride to the airport.
• The Washington Post reported the first poll of Democratic voters for their 2028 presidential nomination. Kamala leads with 21 % followed by Pete Buttigieg 17%, Gavin Newsom 12% and AOC 11%. Interestingly, Pete Buttigieg is polling 0% with black voters, tied with mayonnaise and swimming.
• Texas Democrat Beto O'Rourke blasted Texas Republicans for their attempt to gerrymander 5 new GOP districts. In 6 years in Texas he's lost for senator, for president and for governor. In 2020 when Beto O'Rourke ran for president in the Democratic primaries, he polled .05%, tied with O'Doul's.
• President Trump ordered NASA on Thursday to make plans to fly to the moon within 5 years and establish a nuclear reactor on the lunar system. That'll be some magic trick. With last week's passing of astronaut Jim Lovell at age 97, there are only 5 men left who've lied about going to the moon.
