• Politico reported that the Senate and House of Representatives will likely go into recess for the month of August. They manage to take care of the big things when it's necessary. People often say that Republicans and Democrats can't work together to get things done, but Jeffrey Epstein IS dead.
• Governor Gavin Newsom slammed the ICE raid on a pot farm in Camarillo that found illegal migrant kids working out in the field. Newsom issued an urgent message to all unaccompanied illegal migrant children in California, and Gavin's message was this. That pot is not going to pick itself.
• Vice President JD Vance took his children on vacation to Disneyland Sunday. Travel Weekly rated U.S. tourism attractions in order and reported that that Disneyland in Anaheim and Disney World in Orlando drew 35 million people in 2024. Only the Rio Grande attracted more visitors last year.
• Met Life Stadium in New Jersey hosted the FIFA Club World Cup Sunday where Chelsea beat Saint-Germain. They played before 76,000 fans, including President Trump. Afterwards Trump was introduced to Chelsea's goalie Robert Sanchez and asked him how he was able to make it over the wall.
• President Trump presented the Club FIFA Gold Cup Championship trophy to Chelsea Sunday at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. I was nervous watching him onstage outdoors on this particular day. Sunday was the one-year anniversary of the day Donald Trump took the lead over Joe Biden by one shot.
• President Trump declared Saturday that he is considering an executive order revoking the U.S. citizenship of his longtime tormentor Rosie O'Donnell, who just moved to Ireland. The threat didn't go unanswered. Ireland is hitting America with a 350% tariff until America takes Rosie O Donnell back.
• President Trump threatened a 100% tariff on Russian goods if the Russians don't come to the peace table. It's a bizarre situation. He's selling Ukraine Patriot missiles to shoot down aircraft Boeing sold Russia through 3rd party brokers, if Boeing's handiwork doesn't bring the planes down first.
• Joe Biden's use of the Auto-Pen for pardons in the last days of his presidency came under fire Sunday. He'd wear his hand out signing them all. In the last days he pardoned drug offenders, sex traffickers, liars on firearms applications and political influence peddlers, and that's just his son Hunter.
• The White House expressed outrage at all the rock throwers who weren't arrested in the ICE roundup at the Camarillo pot farm. You're always showcasing in this town. One of the rock throwers broke 100 mph on the radar gun and was taken by the Dodgers in the second round of the draft Sunday.
• Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said ICE agents have been raiding Los Angeles car washes in an effort to scoop up as many undocumented people as possible at once. Time management is always improvable. To speed up deportations, ICE is hanging Home Depot signs outside ICE detention centers.
• The Supreme Court gave Trump permission to fire Department of Education bureaucrats due to abysmally low math and reading scores. Learning takes positive motivation. My generation had to hit the books hard or we'd get sent to Vietnam and it later took cocaine to teach us the metric system.
• The Treasury Department on Monday reported a surplus of $27 billion in June as tariffs gave a sharp increase in receipts. It's the first federal revenue surplus in twenty years. House Members were horrified to realize they might not have wasted as much money as they could have in the budget bill.
