
• James Comey arranged seashells in an 8647 message on a beach so that anyone reading it could be encouraged to assassinate the sitting President of the United States. He was way out of bounds. Comey immediately received calls from the CIA and Hillary Clinton ordering him to stay in his own lane.
• The Secret Service grilled James Comey for posting a spelled-out coded message in seashells that could be perceived as a death threat to the president. It's certainly caused me no small amount of worry. I don't normally give out my debit card pin number, but I face extradition if I don't change 8647.
• Bruce Springsteen incited a political firestorm with remarks he made at his concert in England calling Trump treasonous and corrupt. Later he slipped and fell down onstage. Bruce sensed the crowd was getting tired of his music so he figured he would go for laughs and do his Biden impression.
• New Yorkers walking along the East River were startled Saturday to look out and see a Mexican sailing ship veer suddenly off course and crash into the Brooklyn Bridge that connects Brooklyn to Manhattan. I learned something from the collision. Until now I had no idea that Boeing made sailing ships.
• Pakistan warned India that its announced plan to dam up a river that irrigates Pakistan's farm lands would be construed as an act of war. Their mutual enmity has become impossible to ignore over the years. One of my girlfriends grew up in London but now she lives in Pakistan, and she hasn't moved.
• The U.S. tried to halt the war between India and Pakistan that's incited Indian-Pakistani violence here in L.A. A local 7-Eleven owner was stabbed and spent two weeks in the hospital in a coma until his family finally made the agonizing decision. They decided to close the 7-Eleven and go visit him.
• GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson went to work on the six GOP Members who refused to vote for Trump's budget over its spending level. The GOP House Member disagreement over the budget was reflected Friday when Moody's downgraded the U.S. credit rating. It went from Moody's to Cranky's.
• House Democrats accused President Trump's five children of making millions by leveraging his office for overseas profits. Insiders say the president's five children are always competing to get their dad's attention. Last week Tiffany Trump announced the birth of her first child, Barack Hussein Trump.
• The Supreme Court blocked Trump's attempt to use the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal Venezuelans without due process. It was passed in 1798 to keep French people out of the U.S. Once our new nation was free from British colonial policy the first thing we adopted was British foreign policy.
