Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is running second behind Kamala Harris in a Yale poll of Democrats for their 2028 presidential nomination. Another poll of voters of both parties reveals that AOC has nearly 100% name recognition. And if she can overcome that, she could win the election.

Joe Biden was advised by leading Democrats to stay in the background after his Chicago speech. While reminiscing about his childhood in his prepared speech, Biden said he referred to black children as colored kids. Still, that is a big improvement over what he called them in the first draft.

Coachella Music Festival attendees said burglars broke into their rooms at La Quinta Resort hotel and stole jewelry. The thieves overlooked the best item in the rooms. I've performed Betty Ford alumni banquets at the La Quinta Resort and their towels are so thick you can barely close your suitcase.

Palm Springs hung Welcome Canadians banners on downtown light posts to try to keep tourists from Canada coming. They're hilarious on the golf course. Canadian foursomes require a referee to keep them from using golf clubs like hockey sticks on each other when fights break out on the fairway.

Senator Chris Van Hollen flew to El Salvador to demand release of the deported gang banger from jail and his return to the U.S. Once again DC Democrats fell for Trump's trap of defending the indefensible. If airport security subjected Van Hollen to a cavity search they would have found his head. President Trump hosted Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni Thursday and he accepted her invitation to visit Italy. Trump was in the construction business in New York and the casino business in New Jersey so there's no question he's always been on friendly terms with Italian leaders. He's alive isn't he?

The L.A. 2028 Olympic Committee released an updated list of venues including Dodger Stadium and Universal Studios. It caused annoyance in L.A. when it was reported a brand-new venue has to be built for the Olympic Pistol and Rifle Competition. What's wrong with the freeways we already have?

CNN says an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear facilities was blocked by the U.S. last week. Israel and Iran seem eager to fight it out. If World War III is a play produced by the defense industry and Trump and Putin dropped out during rehearsals, it looks like we might have to go with the understudies.

Fox News reported four men who dubbed themselves the Cutthroat Cowboys were arrested for riding four horses through a WalMart in Louisiana Monday. The horses did nothing wrong. The saddle blankets did expose the horses' hindquarters but it's not like they violated WalMart's dress code.

The Daily Telegraph ran an article on America's harrowing year in airliner travel Wednesday capping a week of well-publicized senseless flights. On Monday, Katy Perry flew into space and on Tuesday, Senator Chris Van Hollen flew to El Salvador. I don't know which one was higher at the time.

Blue Origin's rocket booster that propelled Katy Perry, Gayle King and four other women into space landed safely in West Texas Monday. A recovery team was quickly dispatched to retrieve the women after their historic space flight. All that remained was to collect the new tariff on space imports.

Governor Gavin Newsom filed suit against Trump over the tariffs he imposed on China that Newsom claims will sink the California economy. I hope Gavin gets around with a guide dog. California's economy is already so sunk it draws more billionaires than the Titanic to the ocean floor just to look at it.

George Clooney claims he decided to help nudge Joe Biden out of the 2024 race last July out of civic duty. Just a week earlier Clooney co-hosted a huge-money Biden fundraiser at a mansion in Beverly Hills. President Biden opened the evening by thanking each of the Beverly Hillbillies by name.

Joe Biden was in Chicago for his first speech as a former president. For the first time in months he emerged from hibernation. Joe saw his shadow, and that means six more weeks of books written by his former defenders in the media who say they suspected all along he's out of his mind.

The White House refused to ask El Salvador to send gang member Kilmar Abrego back to the U.S. after deporting him weeks ago. Come on, he came to America with the dream to commit crimes and he succeeded, which is what we're all about. In 1896 a six-year-old named Lucky Luciano arrived in America with a nickel in his pocket, and 40 years later when he was deported, he was worth $40 million.
