• The Hollywood Reporter reported that Joe Biden was in Beverly Hills on Monday to sign a deal to be represented by the Creative Artists Agency. The leading agents, managers and producers in town all gathered at the CAA office for the ceremony. Joe thought he was signing a pardon for Harvey Weinstein.
• Beyonce swept the Grammy Awards on Sunday winning her first Album of the Year Grammy for her Nashville-conquering country music album Cowboy Carter. Her husband also loves the sports scene in Nashville, and so during hockey season, Jay Z hangs out with the Predators. It's like he never left L.A.
• Netflix aired a 4-episode documentary called American Manhunt: OJ Simpson for the 30th anniversary of the murder, the car chase and the trial. In the 2016 FX dramatic series, Cuba Gooding plays OJ Simpson, John Travolta plays his attorney Robert Shapiro. Peyton Manning plays the slow white Bronco.
• President Trump welcomed the NHL's Florida Panthers to the White House Monday where they celebrated winning the Stanley Cup. This was the perfect week to host them. The National Hockey League Hall of Fame is located in Toronto to help Canadians remember what the Stanley Cup looks like.
• The White House negotiated a deal with Canada Monday to avoid a trade war. The last time the U.S. fought a war with Canada in 1812 they burned the White House, put the president to flight and freed 5,000 slaves. If this war ended in a tie, then the U.S. has the same referees as the Kansas City Chiefs.
• Canada's Justin Trudeau made a deal with President Trump to pause U.S. tariffs on goods from Canada Monday. The colorful prime minister is very sensitive about the image he projects in other countries. The last time I saw Justin Trudeau he was attending Zimbabwe's president's funeral, I think.
• President Trump paused tariffs on Mexico in return for Mexico troops on the border. It saves the price of Corona beer, taco chips, salsa and guacamole. It's already cheaper to fly to New Orleans and buy tickets to the Super Bowl than to sit in front of the TV and eat and drink your way through the game.
• President Trump's deportations of illegal alien criminals drew bitter opposition from MSNBC and CNN pundits. The back-and-forth is heated. This week, ICE Director Tom Homan said MSNBC's Joy Reid was dumber than a box of rocks and the American Geological Society is demanding an apology.
• CBS News reports migrants in big cities participated in A Day Without Immigrants on Monday asking illegal aliens not to shop, go to school or work their jobs. The day is intended to show they're needed. L.A. observed A Day Without Immigrants and morning noise from lawn blowers was down 50%.
• Mexican protestors shut down an L.A. freeway Sunday, burned the U.S. flag, waved the Mexican flag and called for California to be returned to Mexico. The mob anger was palpable. A nationwide survey just voted Taco Bell the Best Mexican Restaurant in America and they just can't take it anymore.
• The Democratic National Forum met in Maryland Sunday and delegates doubled down on woke policies. We all have different perspectives. On Sunday morning, the groundhog saw his shadow meaning 6 more weeks of winter, and Bobby Kennedy saw the groundhog and saw 6 days of good eating.
• Science Journal published an article spotlighting the top women scientists in the world. They are prominent in the fields of astronomy, nuclear research, and medical technology. The most famous is the Nobel Prize-winning Chinese scientist Tu Youyou, and it must be murder singing happy birthday to her.
