• Inauguration Day received the usual divided coverage by the cable news channels. CNN reported that Donald Trump was sworn into the office and moved into the White House. And MSNBC reported that Trump evicted an elderly man with dementia from his home.
• Episcopal Bishop Marianne Budde lectured Trump in the pulpit on mercy for illegal immigrants and transgenders at the National Prayer Service. It wasn’t her crowd of Episcopalians. When the bishop said there’s something wrong with America the congregation replied in unison, and also with you.
• President Trump had Oracle CEO Larry Ellison pitch the need for investing in AI energy plants Tuesday. AI has the answer to everything but its future is iffy. I’m betting Artificial Intelligence will be allowed to function until it states that the U.S. can only be saved by Senate and Congressional term limits.
• Elon Musk was photographed waving his right arm diagonally at the Inaugural and prompting a meme coin called Elon Hitler. What’s one more? Democrats make it a full time job for comedians to separate the Political Hitlers from the Singing Hitlers, the Dancing Hitlers, and High Tech Hitlers.
• President Trump issued an executive order Monday canceling all federal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs and DEI rules in the United States government. It went further. The executive order declared that the Trump Administration will recognize only two sexes, men and really hot women.
• The Inaugural Ball had President Trump onstage borrowing a sword from a military guard and dancing the Trump Dance to the YMCA song while waving the sword. There is a reason he was so giddy. He’d just signed an executive order making Diet Coke the Official Beverage of the United States.
• President Trump in his first hours in office on Monday signed an executive order withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Accords Conference. In its place, the president has his own personal climate policy. He plans to build a border wall that’s so high no illegal immigrant can climate.
• Winston Churchill’s bust was returned to the Oval Office by Trump Monday. The great English leader dreamed of a reunification of the U.S. and Britain and a world empire of the English-speaking people. Winston’s dream is still alive wherever guys can talk on the golf course without being overheard.
