"The white polluters and the white environmentals are essentially steering poison into the people of colored communities."
"This movement is deeper than a solar panel. Deeper than a solar panel. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. No, we're going to change the whole system. We're going to change the whole thing. We're not going to put a new battery in a broken system. We want a new system. We want a new system."
both quotes by Van Jones, former green jobs "czar"
The above quotes courtesy of the Glenn Beck Show are critical information. Without access to them, most Americans can be forgiven for not even knowing who Van Jones is, much less why he "resigned" his job in the Obama administration. Yet Van Jones, despite his warped views of white people in particular and America in general, is not the story. Here's the story:
Once again, the mainstream media has demonstrated that their bias isn't limited to what they report. What they fail to report is just as damning.
Can anyone with the remotest sense of fairness imagine virtually every major media outlet ignoring any conservative/white person/Republican who uttered the above quotes? Or course not. Only "progressives," apparently even bigoted ones, ones get such preferred treatment. But it gets even worse. The reaction of a mainstream media literally forced by the turn of events to follow this story (even they can't ignore a high-profile resignation) is stunning:
Glenn Beck and Fox News are to "blame" for forcing Jones out of his job, all of Jones' critics are "racist," and such a "victory" emboldens those who "hate" president Obama.
As I have mentioned numerous times, the mainstream media is "all in" with the Obama administration. If he goes down in flames, they go with him. I've also repeatedly mentioned that the prevailing mindset of this administration, its inhabitants, and the majority of Democrats in Congress is that America is a fundamentally flawed nation requiring a complete overhaul.
Van Jones is very likely the tip of a large, radical iceberg. The fact that he had a job in the Obama administration demonstrates one of two immutable truths: either the administration's vetting process is grossly incompetent for allowing a radical racist to gain employmentor they are of the same mindset regarding America, and Jones was a perfect fit.
The media and the administration can spin this episode any way they want. But thanks to Fox's Glenn Beck whose chief "crime" in this particular case is apparently that of being an investigative journalist no one can walk the proverbial horse back into the barn.
Van Jones, despite a coordinated effort undertaken to cleanse his reputation, cannot be "unquoted."
One more "insignificant" detail about Mr. Jones: in 2004, he signed a Truther Movement petition. Truthers are those Americans who believe the Bush administration was behind the 9/11 attacks. Jones claims the document "does not reflect (his) views now or ever."
Memo to Mr. Jones: nice try, but you can't "unsign" your name any more than you can be unquoted.
Small picture: the only one responsible for Van Jones being unemployed is Van Jones himself period. Big picture: the mainstream media is headed for self-inflicted irrelevancy, courtesy of their bias, lack of integrity, and laziness.
It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of in-the-tank, progressivist cheerleaders.
