A. Wallace and Noah Beery were half-brothers, who were both actors. Noah Beery Jr., also an actor, most famous for supporting James Garner in "The Rockford Files," was Noah Beery's son. All three are dead now.
Q. Could you tell me anything about Rossano Brazzi? Is he still living? Where is he living? -- M.C.S., Lancaster, Pa.
A. Brazzi died in 1994. We don't know where he is living these days.
Q. When I was a kid, back in the late 1930s (I am 75 now), my family and those my age saw a movie I think was titled "Ramona." I remember it being about a young Indian maiden who married a white man and either died or was killed. The whole family had tears in our eyes. It was a good movie. Do you know of this movie? Is it available on video? -- P.L.A., West Sacramento, Calif.
A. Yes, we know about "Ramona." It was made in 1936 and starred Loretta Young and Don Ameche. But you have the story backwards -- it was about a young white woman who falls in love with an Indian. There is no video that we know of.
Q. I can remember a movie, it seems it was in the 1960s or 1970s, called "...tick...tick...tick..." Who starred in it? Do you know if it is available on video? Also, were Spencer Tracy and Roddy McDowall the stars of "Inherit the Wind"? Is it on video? -- D.K., Kiel, Wis.
A. "...tick...tick...tick..." came out in 1970, starring Jim Brown, George Kennedy and Fredric March. There is no video. Spencer Tracy did star in "Inherit the Wind," but McDowall was not among those present. The other stars were Fredric March and Gene Kelly. There is a video as well as a laser disc.
Q. My husband and I were talking about two movies. He said he didn't think they will ever be on video or TV. One is "The Eddy Duchin Story," with Tyrone Power and Kim Novak. The other is "Time Rider," about a motorcycle rider that went through a time zone and was carried back in time to the old West. There is a bet between us. He says you won't help. -- Mrs. N.M., Anderson, S.C.
A. We will help. Both of those films are available on both video and laser disc. "The Eddy Duchin Story," from 1956, and "Time Rider," from 1953, which starred Fred Ward, Belinda Bauer and Peter Coyote, are both out there. Your local video store either has them or can order them for you.
Q. I was told by a friend that there was a black-and-white version of the classic movie "A Swiss Family Robinson," made before the 1950 one. Am I wrong? None of the video stores have any, except the 1950 one. -- S.T., Marquette, Mich.
A. Yes, there was an earlier version. It came out in 1940 and starred Thomas Mitchell and Freddie Bartholomew. There is no video,
