the road of life
Every so often an unnoticed book comes our way that we feel deserves a much wider audience. Given the current religious season, we have excerpted a few introspective passages here.
ONE FULL NEW YEAR
Have I accomplished
Does this year
Have I accumulated enough
Did I give
How responsible
ADDING ANOTHER YEAR
and each year
I know this
I have not yet
deserved.
GIFTS
It sometimes
to understand

A new year is here
and I begin to
analyze myself.
enough?
which slipped by
signify substantial growth?
actions and deeds
to equal
one full year
of 24 hours a day?
in proportion
to what
I have received?
will I be
this year?
Every year
I reassure
both G-d
and myself
that this year
I will become
a mentsh,
both G-d and I
believe it.
because every year
He generously
and lovingly
gives me credit
Gifts
from G-d
are often
disguised
with pain
and hardships.
takes years
of evolution
in life,
His love
and begin
to accept
and appreciate.
