Bush is ‘The Real Deal’

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com | George W. Bush answered his critics Wednesday and gave them the Real Deal.

Americans trust George W. Bush. Forget the naysayers and the self-promoting politicians. Put aside the flawed intelligence and the 16 words. At the end of the day, the real deal is that Americans trust their president on the single issue that matters most: protecting their families by winning the war on terror.

Despite the cynics' best efforts to destroy a presidency during a time of war, Americans remember how the president and his cabinet responded to the most horrendous attack on American soil in our history.

After September 11, the president spoke clearly, held firm, and moved the front lines of this new and bloody war from the streets of America to the land of Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, and the Taliban. Americans will not punish such a president anymore than they will reward those who damage our war efforts for the sake of petty partisan gain.

Make no mistake of it, the president may not carry the aura of FDR or speak with the command of Churchill. Yet he has exactly what the American people need in a leader to carry this great nation to victory in our war on terror. Whether the critics like it or not, the American people know in their gut that George W. Bush is the real deal.
